Professional Experience

CPA, CFP & NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor – Only a few have earned all three designations.

The term CPA and Certified Public Accountant behind the name indicates the individual passed one of the most rigorous examinations of any profession and holds a professional license. Rod has been an actively-licensed CPA for most of his career. The profession requires compliance with its Code of Ethics.

Being a CPA provides experience in two key areas. First, is his experience auditing the financial statements of companies with publicly-traded securities. Financial statements are the source of most financial information used to research a company’s stock or bond. Second, is his experience with tax regulations and tax planning strategies. He prepares several dozens of personal and business tax returns each year and routinely represents clients before the IRS in tax disputes and audits.  www.mncpa.org
